Think about this for a moment. With all the news online lately of how Google is indexing websites through their Panda updates it's very easy to loose give attention to our internet businesses. In a sense we have been programmed that getting a high page rank in Google with make us money, so at times our focus is doing exactly that. In reality all we're really doing is chasing website traffic rather than doing things that will take that website visitors to our pages.
When things don't go just as planed and our google page rank in Google isn't where we would like, our attention might be devoted to improving those rankings hoping improving online traffic to pages. I'm not saying we shouldn't attempt to get a favorable listing in Google, however, if all our attention is on our page rank only then do we only wind up chasing that web site traffic.. Trying to rely on any single method to obtain visitors can be quite a huge mistake as many are finding out now.
I've read post after post where webmasters were getting hundreds and in many cases 1000s of individuals to their website when suddenly in the weeks time those visitors were forget about. They had put all their efforts into getting top listings in Google for their online traffic and almost no time spent developing other avenues of obtaining customers.
