I have been on hubpages for some months now and I have published 8 articles now. I've seen individuals get followers after writing fewer articles than me. Even in spite of everything these months I have didn't get even a single follower. Are my articles not upto the standards to get any followers? Or am I doing one thing flawed? Any help could be appreciated.

Not really. Followers are usually not readers - they are other Hubbers. You can have thousands and thousands of readers but if they're all from exterior HubPages, you may get only a few Followers.
